Chapter 1

The Ardent Desire
For the Help and Intercession
of all the Assembly
in the
Glory of Heaven

May Jesus Christ help us die to our ego and pride and all selfish, self-centered sin.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Mother, protect us from all impurity and lust and sins of the flesh, and all other sins of this type.

May the Holy Angels protect us from the devil and all his temptations to sin, especially when they are sifting and subtle, and keep us free from all evil in the world.

May the Holy Saints of God protect us from all harm and danger, discouragement, deception or error in the spiritual life, and lead us in the way of salvation to union with God on earth and in heaven.

May the Holy Blessed Trinity be praised and adored forever and ever.  Amen.
